5. Is there information on how much it cost to build?
The initial planned cost of the theatre was 2.688 billion yuan. When the construction had completed, the total cost rose to more than CNY3.2 billion. The major cause of the cost increase was a delay for reevaluation and subsequent minor changes as a precaution after a Paris airport terminal building collapsed. The cost has been a major source of controversy because many believed that it is nearly impossible to recover the investment. When the cost is averaged out, each seat is worth about half a million CNY. The Chinese government answered that the theater is not a for profit venture.

Sensory Overload

1. The last sentence of the story says

"I believe that more and more, we are defining our environments not as the spaces themselves, in terms of the buildings or architecture, but rather by the objects and devices that we buy and surround ourselves with. ... I would like that message to carry through universally," Seymour said.

What do you think about this statement?

i think that its a valid statement
Do you agree or disagree?

I mean I agree, but i disagree at the same time, because its not always the case when it comes down to the bottom line.
As an aspiring photographer how does this make you feel about your photography?
it makes me feel like i could do a bit better, at capturing the contents of the building and not just the building itself
2. When you looked through the images, did you want to visit this place and take your camera?
Yes, because its just so bright and colourful just waiting for people to take photos of it
3. What do you think it would be like to be the child of someone who worked at this place?

I think that you'd get used to it after a while, all the bright colours, all the tourists, just everything.
4. Describe your favorite photo to me.
Its the one of the china shop, of the little girl doing her math homework with what looks like her mom, the colors of the china shop and the china just blend so well, the pinks, reds, blues, and greens, they just fit.
