Africa

I find it interesting how much he cares for the animals. I also love the way he takes photos
Its my favorite because of how the Wildebeests are positioned in the water
the rules that evident are Rule of Thirds, Lines, and simplicity.
He uses a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses, "Brandt does not use telephoto lenses because he believes that being close to the animals make a huge difference in his ability to reveal their personality." It also makes it more dramatic. his reason for taking these is showing the animals simply in the state of Being. his hope is taking pictures of he animals In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist.
"My images are unashamedly idyllic and romantic, a kind of enchanted Africa. They're my elegy to a world that is steadily, tragically vanishing."
